Stipends information
Available stipends
The IACR Cryptography Research Fund allows us to waive the registration fee for all student presenters of an accepted paper.
In addition, a number of stipends are also available to waive/reduce the registration fee to support some local participants and participants from neighboring countries.
Lastly, a limited number of stipends are also available to contribute to the travel costs of some participant/students. These funds are allocated to support participants from poorer institutions who would otherwise be unable to attend the conference. We particularly encourage applications for stipends from women and other under represented groups. When allocating stipends, preference will be given to these groups.
How to apply
To apply for a stipend please send an email to the general chair (eurocrypt2017 at iacr dot org) explaining your situation.
Further, if you are a PhD student, ask your supervisor to send an email to the general chair confirming that:
- you are a student engaged in cryptography research
- there is not sufficient funding in your home institution to participate in the conference.
The deadline for stipend applications is February 28th, 2017. Decisions will be made soon after that date. The money will be given to students at the conference (receipts for travel costs must be provided).
