Eurocrypt 2021

October 17-21 2021

Zagreb, Croatia

Travel & Venue Information

The physical conference will be held at The Westin Zagreb, but we also plan to provide support for remote attendees. This page will be updated with more information as details are worked out. If you have some leisure time during the conference, you can explore Zagreb. Once you arrived at the airport, there are several options to go to the Zagreb city center. You can take a bus that goes every 30 minutes to the final destination Zagreb main bus terminal. From there, it is relatively easy to go anywhere in the city by taxi or tram. You can also take uber or bolt from the airport. Finally, you can also take a taxi from the airport (note that we do not recommend this as it can be rather expensive). If you are taking taxi and plan to pay with credit card, please check before the start if it is accepted as not all taxies accept credit card payments.

The affiliated events will take place at University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. The address is Unska 3, 10000 Zagreb. Once at the place, there will be signs leading to the registration places and specific workshop rooms.

The banquet dinner will take place at Lauba. It will include dinner and entertainment program.

Travel During Covid

IACR takes no financial responsibility for the travel arrangements of participants if the physical component of the conference needs to be cancelled due to last minute changes in travel restrictions or health conditions.

All attendees must obey local laws and travel restrictions. The Westin Zagreb also has a page about what to expect at the venue. The Croatian National Tourist Board has information for those traveling from both EU and non-EU countries.

If you are traveling from within the EU

Re-open EU has an interactive map to check whether travel between your country and Croatia is allowed. Information about the EU digital Covid certificate may also be of use. Additionally, Croatia has a contact tracing app, as do many other EU countries.

If you are traveling from outside the EU

The Croatian government has information on what to expect when traveling to Croatia as a non-EU citizen. (You'll need to scroll about halfway down the page to the section with the title "Third-country nationals".) Please note that there may be special measures apply if you are traveling from specific countries. More information is available on the page linked above.
